About Us....

McLeod
Trophy Hunts are hosted by Tom, Levi, and Custer McLeod.
The family began its tradition when the McLeod's
homesteaded in the Black Mesa area in 1916. The terrain
is pristine high country with large Aspen groves, alpine
parks, and Spruce ridges. Our commercial hunting program
was started in 1938.
Elk prices are based upon a hunt fee of $2,000 plus the
gross score of the animal taken. A pricing list is
available for the current year's hunts. Every attempt
will be made by the Black Mesa Lodge to supply a trophy
in the scoring range that you desire. Early booking will
help us to accomplish your trophy goal. Trophy bulls
start at $6,000.
Our Trophies are Really Trophies. Our trophy bull's
gross scores begin at 300 Boone and Crockett. In 1998,
our average score was 332 Boone and Crockett with a
range from 300-385. We offer one on one guide service
with one of our experienced professionals. A wounded
animal is considered a harvested animal.
